exchange messages not ending up in user mailboxes since I they changed domain name
I have Exchange 2003 server setup in a small office with 5 users.ThePOP3 email comes from thedomain which is hosted elsewhere and the POP3 connectorwould connectto the 5 pop3 mailboxes andthey'd end up in the users mailboxes. But last week, wechanged domain names, I changed settings in exchange for that. Anyway, emails send out finebut when the POP3 connector connects tothe server to download the messages now, they are no where to be found. They aren't ending upin the user mailboxes. They aredefinitely being downloaded, butI have no idea where they are going and how to correct this. Any ideas as we are in dire need. What didI do? :). Thanks.-Harvey

Reboot of server actually corrected the problem. But where did those messages go? Anyway for me to recover them, I can't find where they went

Did you check in dumpster? If it is downloaded in mailbox and deleted somehow from there then you can see in dumpster for 7 days after deletion.Recovering Deleted Items in Exchange Server 2003 (Part 1)http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Recovering-Deleted-Items-Exchange-Server-2003-Part1.htmlAmit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

It never made it to any user mailboxes. That's the problem. Now it's working fine, but there is like 200 messages that never made there and I wanted to see if I could recover them.

Hi,
Please try to find these messages from the directory listing below:
%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\\Networking\POP3\Incoming Mail
%PROGRAMFILES%\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\PickUp
%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\\Networking\POP3\Failed Mail
If you cannot find message from those directory, then messages might not be recoverable. Detail information you can refer to the article below:

Besides, please try to use telnet command to retrieve pop3 message, you can follow command in the article below:
